UPDATE ON HOPEY!

Hello everyone! Its been a long time...since January I believe. I'm sorry I haven't been posting, but its just been one crazy thing after another around my place...

I did want to update you all on what we found out at Hopes 2nd opinion neurosurgeon appointment...to make a real looooong story short, they are doing a CINE MRI and that will show if she has the right amount of spinal fluid pressure flow at the brainstem. If she doesn't then it is possible she will need surgery. She is still hurting but manages most days pretty good b/c she is a tuff cookie and Jesus has her back!


I will let you know when we know more but until then thanks for the prayers, I know that God is sustaining Hopey through all of this and your prayers are much, much appreciated! Ang

Somewhat back to normal!

I just wanted to quickly post and let you all know that Swincher sick-bay is officially over! Ashley & Cortney are now back to college and work and are feeling better...

Hope is still in pain most everyday but we are trusting in Jesus to heal her. She has Physical Therapy and loving it b/c she basically gets a massage every session! It helps for the moment but seems to go back to the same pain soon there after. She has a second opinion w/a new neurosurgeon in March. He is with Riley Childrens Hospital so please keep her in your prayers.

Ashley surgery...

HELP!!!!!!!! ARE WE ON AN ENDLESS...ONGOING...MERRY-GO-ROUND HERE?????? I DON'T FEEL LIKE WE ARE EVER GOING TO GET OFF!!!

ASHLEY IS NOW HAVING GALLBLADDER SURGERY ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 26TH...

IN THE WORDS OF VIRGINIA...BLOOD OF JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

CORTNEY'S SURGERY

CORTNEY IS HAVING ESOPHAGEAL SURGERY FRIDAY 12.22.06 AT 8:00 A.M. AT GREENFIELD HOSPITAL. SHE IS DOING IT NOW SO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS, SO SHE WON'T MISS SO MUCH SCHOOL.

PLEASE PRAY THAT THE SURGERY GOES WELL AND THAT IT DOES WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO.


ALSO AFTER THE SURGERY SHE CAN ONLY HAVE FOR THE 1ST WEEK- LIQUIDS, 2ND WEEK-BABY FOOD CONSISTENCY, 3RD WEEK-MASHED POTATOES AND A LITTLE HARDER FOODS AND THE 4TH WEEK-WORKING UP TO SOLIDS. THIS IS SO SHE DOESN'T CHOKE.

THE SURGEON SAID NORMALLY PEOPLE LOOSE UP TO 10 POUNDS OR MORE WITH THIS SURGERY. WITH CORTNEY SHE CAN'T AFFORD THAT SO PLEASE PRAY SHE DOESN'T LOOSE THAT WIEGHT IN JESUS NAME!

I AM KEEPING IN MY HEART & MIND A SCRIPTURE PASTOR TERRY HAD ON SUNDAY THAT WAS SO GOOD.. 2 COR. 4:16

THEREFORE WE DO NOT LOSE HEART. THOUGH OUTWARDLY WE ARE WASTING AWAY, YET INWARDLY WE ARE BEING RENEWED DAY BY DAY!!!

ASHLEY ENDOSCOPE

IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE ONLY TIMES RECENTLY I'VE BEEN ABLE TO POST ARE WHEN I NEED PRAYER FOR MY KIDS! ASHLEY IS GOING TO BE HAVING AN ENDOSCOPY PROCEDURE DONE THIS THURSDAY B/C SHE HAS HAD A LOT OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS THAT CORTNEY HAS HAD AND A FEW OTHER THINGS HAVE BEEN GOING ON AS WELL.

I AM SOOOOOOOOO SICK OF SICK!!! I'VE KINDA PINNED IT DOWN NOW AND SINCE I'VE DECLARED OVER ME IN TESTIMONY IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH THAT I AM DONE WITH SURGERIES AND DONE WITH SICKNESS IN MY LIFE AND IN MY BODY, THE DEVIL HAS REALLY ATTACKED MY KIDS! IF HE CAN'T GET TO YOU ONE WAY...HE FINDS ANOTHER WAY. IT'S HIS OLD TRICK! WHY DO WE FALL FOR IT?

CORT & I HAVE TO STAND AND BELIEVE FOR OUR GIRLS, FOR OUR FAMILY B/C THIS HAS TO STOP!!!! WE ARE GETTING WEARY, BUT GOD IS NOT! HE CAN LIFT US AND HE DOES DAILY SO PLEASE CONTINUE TO STAND IN PRAYER WITH OUR FAMILY. WE SO APPRECIATE IT... THANK YOU!

STUFF TO PRAY ABOUT!!!

GOD is a merciful GOD and is with us always!

Tomorrow Cortney is having a 24 hour test done on her esphogus and they will be putting a tube up her nose that runs down to her esophogus so they can run a report to find out how much acid reflux is getting into her system. This will help them to determine what to do next to help her. This procedure is uncomfortable b/c it will be in her nose for 24 hours but the doctor assures us that she will really only notice it for the first hour or so...I'm thinking not but we will see!!!

Yesterday we went to Hopes neurologist appointment and got some good news...she does not have a Chiari malformation which means if she does have to have surgery they will not have to remove any of the skull or patch any of the brain area.

She does however have the "syrinx"/syringomyelia on her spinal cord so if they do have to do the surgery it will require doing the surgery on the spine. Her neurosurgeon apointment is next week so I will update you more then...as always we appreciate your prayers!

God is faithful and can do abundantly more than we ask or think!!!
